Scotch Bars
Comments:
Awesome butterscotch flavor. Serves a bunch.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups uncooked quick oats
- 1 pkg. (11 oz.) butterscotch chips, divided
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13 cake pan (Baker's Joy works well).
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter or margarine, sugars and eggs. Beat until
creamy. Gradually blend in the flour mixture, oats, and 1-1/2 cups of
butterscotch chips. Pour into prepared pan. sprinkle with remaining chips.
Bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; cut into
bars. ---------------------
