Chocolate White Treasure Brownies
Comments:
Very rich -- especially if you add white frosting on top! Makes 16 squares.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet morsels OR 3 foil-wrapped
semisweet chocolate baking bars
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. white baking pieces
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt;
set aside. In small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter and
water. Bring just to a boil; remove from heat. Add add chocolate morsels
or baking bars and vanilla extract. Stir until chocolate melts and mixture
is smooth. Transfer to large mixer bowl.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in white baking pieces. Spread
into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes until center
is just set.
Cool completely; cut into 2-inch squares. ---------------------
